The term electricity market services (EMS) relate to analysis of electricity markets and the need of the Client to gather more insight and knowledge on working of electricity markets in the regions and markets that Megajoule (MJ) is active in. A study is prepared based upon needs and input of the Client with focus (depending on the scope) on the market models, power system balancing, market participation, electricity prices in general and status of guarantees of origin. Alternatively, MJ can also be a technical consultant to gather and analyse proposals from electricity traders for PV plants/wind farms/BESS and to propose the best solution for the Client. This is usually done right before or during ready-to-build phase (RTB). It is also possible to combine these two services into one with one report being issued.
The goal of MJ is to provide an independent service in this regard to the Client and help them either to gather knowledge on electricity market status or choose the best electricity trader for selling its plant portfolio.
