Who we are
MEGAJOULE is an independent engineering and consultancy, founded in Portugal in February 2004. The founders, were three engineers with a solid background and experience since the early nineties, particularly in wind energy consultancy and wind resource assessment.
Throughout its 20+ years of activity, MEGAJOULE operated more than 450+ met masts for wind assessment or power curve measurement purposes, on behalf of its clients, performed wind and solar resource assessment studies for more than 50+ GW of wind and solar capacity, and participated in many due diligence processes for more than 10+ GW of wind and solar capacity, for financing or negotiation of wind farm or solar PV farm projects or portfolios.
MEGAJOULE also includes Engineering services which include the whole development process of the wind or solar farm (accessibility evaluation, grid connection analysis, micrositing/layouts, prefeasibility study, noise impact (only wind), shadow and flicker analysis (only wind), visualizations, basic and main design, technical due diligence, feasibility study), contracting support (TS, O&M, EPC, BoP), owners engineer, project management and supervision services.
Among MEGAJOULE’s clients are several important wind and solar PV farm developers, investors and financing institutions active in the main world markets.
